DESIS-Africa: The Network on Design for Social Innovation and Sustainability in Africa

The main objective of DESIS-Africa is to network key actors in Design for Sustainability (DfS) projects and related activities in the public and private sector. The diffusion and dissemination of social innovation entails interrogating inspiring initiatives from the DESIS family of international networks with a particular emphasis on those with specific relevance to contemporary local socio-economic and geo-political realities on our continent. Subsequently, DESIS-Africa builds upon the Creative Communities for Sustainable Lifestyle-Africa (CCSL-A) project wherein promising cases of social innovation were collected, documented and disseminated.
