Show your project. Exchange your experience with that of others. Get an overview of what is going on in the field.
Over the past decades a variety of social actors throughout the world - institutions, enterprises, non-profit organizations, and, most of all, networks of collaborative people - have moved beyond mainstream models of thinking and doing, inventing new ways of living and producing. They are viable and sustainable solutions to complex problems such as: social cohesion, urban regeneration, accessibility to healthy food, water and sustainable energy management.
The design community, and the design schools in particular, can do a lot to support these promising social experiments: is your school involved in these kinds of initiatives? Would you like to be involved? Are you interested to know more about design for social innovation with an emphasis on sustainability? Join us for the DESIS Forum in Paris!
DESIS Forum is a format conceived to give design teachers and students the opportunity to showcase their projects, to present them and to exchange their experiences in the field of design for social innovation and sustainability.
DESIS Forum/Paris will be held back-to-back with the Cumulus Conference Crossing talents: transversality in design, hosted by Strate College in Sèvres, Paris. http://www.cumulusparis2011.org The Forum is organized by DESIS Network within the Cumulus-DESIS partnership and in collaboration with Strate College Paris.
