Rio de Janeiro week on Social Innovation and Design

Based at the Federal University from Río de Janeiro, the DESIS Brazil node has organized an animated week about the social innovation potencial to promote new business models, products and services solutions, as well as to foster alternatives to the technological development and new perspectives to the public management.

Two lines of discussion will lead the conversations at the seminar. The first one aims at considering which evaluative criteria could be used in the identification of considered promising social innovation cases for the fostering of sustainable development. The second one considers that these social innovations could be understood as design practices and, on the other hand, questions how professional designers could learn and make contributions to the diffusion of these initiatives.
