The next Cumulus conference "Projecting design" will be hosted by Instituto Profesional DuocUC in Santiago (Chile) http://www.duoc.cl/cumulus2012/ and will dedicate a day to Innovation and Sustainability (November 15th, 2012). Within this context a DESIS Showcase will be hosted in order to show different cases of social innovation in Latin America (November 15th 2012- to be confirmed).
The DESIS Showcase will open the discussion between schools in Latin-America working on social innovation and their colleagues in the wider international context of design schools belonging to the Cumulus association. We therefore see the Showcase as an important moment of cross-fertilization. As usual, the event will feature a series of short presentations (4 minutes for 4 slides) from design schools active in social innovation across the world, to sketch a quick overview of what's going on to kickstart discussion later on. Through the DESIS Showcase, we collect cases and gives them visibility on the DESIS showcase website and offline, via the DESIS Showcase event during the Santiago Cumulus conference (14-18 November 2015). More information as well as a call for participation will be made available in the coming months.
