DESIS Philosophy Talks is a series of talks aimed at creating a dialogue between design for social innovation research and the disciplines of the social sciences and humanities. The purpose of this new initiative is to encourage a theoretical and philosophical discourse starting from the state of the art of design for social innovation and sustainability.

News from the field of social innovation globally, projects and ideas offering solutions to social challenges will be updated to SIX website, and DESIS network became one of initial partner websites to feed contents to SIX website. From February 2012, contents selected from DESIS website will be shared at SIX website.

DESIS Korea launched

On November 23rd, 2011, DESIS Korea was officially launched at Seoul National University where initial members and partners gathered and celebrated its birth together. Professor Ezio Manzini joined the launching event to give an opening speech followed by brief introduction of the members and the parters on their current projects and interests.

Submitted by admin on Tue, 10/25/2011 - 10:06amThe Cumulus conference in Denver organized by the Rocky Mountain College for Art and Design featured a Design Expo. It combined both case studies collected during the DESIS Light Expo back in May 2011 at the Cumulus Conference at Strate College in Paris, and case studies from DESIS Labs in the US. Mariana Amatullo and Eduardo Strakowskij, curators of the exhibition, selected and presented the projects into different thematic areas.
Design, a Catalyst of Sustainable India

The symposium is organized as a concluding event of the two-week long international open electives at NID.
